UNION GROVE CHURCH OF CHRIST, CLEVELAND TN.

SOME THOUGHTS FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE

Don’t be involved in activities that destroy the physical body, but rather use your body to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 6:19,20; 10:31).

If you face problems or need help in your spiritual life, don’t be ashamed. Go to God in prayer, turn to the Bible, and seek out faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who can help you.

Never violate your conscience (Romans 14:23). It is an extremely dangerous practice that will lead to complete spiritual decay.

Have your best friends be those who are members of the church (or, if you are not yet a Christian yourself, have your best friends be those who are Christians or the children of faithful saints). Having close ties with the wrong folks can bring you great heartache and troubles (1 Corinthians15:33).

Maintain your moral purity (2 Timothy 2:22). Wait until you are married to have physical relations (Hebrews 13:4).

Plan to marry a Christian. Solomon was not the last one who was pulled away from God due to marriage with those who were not His children.

When you make a mistake that is a violation of God’s law, don’t try to hide it. Repent of it to receive God’s forgiveness, then do your best to move ahead and serve Him faithfully.
