GOD’S PLAN TO SAVE MAN

What God has done for our salvation:

Before the foundation of the world God had an "eternal purpose" or plan for our redemption (Ephesians 3:9,11; 1:4).

Salvation by God’s grace:

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath

appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11).

Salvation by God’s mercy:

"… but according to his mercy he saved us" (Titus 3:5).

Salvation by God’s love that sacrificed Jesus:

"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because

that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we

might live through him" (1 John 4:9).

Salvation by the blood of Jesus:

"In whom (Jesus, rdc) we have redemption through his blood,

the forgiveness of sins …" (Ephesians 1:7).

Salvation by the gospel:

- "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth …" (Romans 1:16).

What God requires man to do in order to be saved:

Hear the gospel of the Christ to learn God’s will (Romans 10:17).

Believe in God’s existence (Hebrews 11:6).

Believe in Jesus as the Son of God (John 3:16-18).

Repent of every sin (Acts 17:30).

Confess faith in Jesus (Romans 10:10).

Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16).

Be steadfast/faithful in serving Christ after baptism

(1 Corinthians 15:58).

Love the Lord by keeping His commandments (John 14:15).

Deny self & daily take up one’s cross to follow Jesus (Lk. 9:23).
